Social activities

We can't hold any meetings for sometime now but we can still stay in touch and do interesting things!

So far we have had a number of offers:

Weekly Art Challenge - Helen Newton a local artist is inviting you to join her weekly art challenge.  We can put you in touch with her and she can advise you what you need to get started and join in.

Whatsapp chat group - Richard Ward has set up a Whatsapp group - you need to download the app and then contact Richard on 07712188201 to request to join.

Knighton Wild's website has links to webcams and is encouraging everybody to look and record the wildlife in and around their gardens.  They are also developing a blog and gallery of photos taken by people in the neighbourhood.

Other ideas that people are working on or would value input on include:

  • A virtual community choir
  • A weekly pub quiz (without the pub)
  • A book club

You might have an idea or want to help bring these ideas to reality - email judith.hibbert@ntlworld.com

Attenborough Arts Centre has some interesting ideas for getting creative, noodling round galleries or listening to concerts round the world.  If you can cast these to your TV from your phone or tablet they look great.

Their ideas are on a special website they have created https://www2.le.ac.uk/hosted/attenborougharts/whatson/Arts%20at%20a%20Distance
